Goodness of God HE IS RESURRECTING US 1 Corinthians 15:35-57 In Creation: God was good! In the Fall: God was good! - He kept Adam and Eve from the Tree of Life. In Redemption: God is good! In Restoration: God is good! - He will recreate a New Heaven and New Earth. - He will resurrect us to live in His restored creation. - He provides access again to the Tree of Life. (Revelation 22:1-5) God is good—He provides a body that is perfect for eternity. 1 Corinthians 15:35 God gives us clarity about the body that we will have. - The principle of life beyond death. (v. 36) - The principle of life with a difference. (v. 37-38) - The principle of variety. (v. 39) - The principle of the terrestrial versus the celestial. (v. 40-41) God gives us contrasts that explain the body we will have. - Bodies of corruption are raised incorruptible. (v. 42) - Bodies of dishonor are raised in glory. (v. 43) - Bodies of weakness are raised in power. (v. 43) - Bodies that were natural are raised spiritual. (v. 44-49) God gives us comfort as we look forward to the bodies we will have. - We will all be changed. (v. 50-57) .. some through resurrection. .. some through rapture. - We can all be comforted. .. our confusion can become our conviction. (1 Thess. 4:13-18) .. our conviction can become our comfort. “Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, death, is your victory? Where, death, is your sting? (v. 54b-55) “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (v.57) Next Step: - Are you prepared for what is to come?
