 • Series: Connect Grow Go

GROW OTHERS Ephesians 4:11-16 We exist to make disciples who connect, grow, and go. - We are not only concerned about ourselves, but we should be concerned about others. - We are part of the Church: 3 metaphors presented in Scripture: 1. The Church is the BRIDE of Christ. 2. The Church is a BUILDING made up of individual stones 3. The Church is the BODY of Christ. Jesus is the head of the body and we are to grow up into him. (Eph. 4:15) - We are to grow up in every way. - Speaking the truth in love reveals that we are PRACTICING THE TRUTH. - We often prove our maturity or lack thereof by our speech. - Part of maturing is knowing who we are and operating from that knowledge. - We must BE before we DO. Mature Christ followers know WHO THEY ARE IN CHRIST and HOW THEY FIT IN THE BODY. (Eph. 4:16) 1. We know what part of the body we are — “BE” 2. We function in a proper way within the body — “DO” Next Steps: - What is the one thing that is keeping you from properly functioning in the body of Christ? - BE who you are in the body of Christ! - DO what God designed you to do!
