CONNECT WITH OTHERS Hebrews 10:19-25 We exist to make disciples who connect, grow, and go. - In the first 5 verses the focus is - Connecting with God. - In the last 2 verses the focus is - Connecting with Others. Three important aspects of Connecting with Others in Community: 1. Connection in community provides Protection. - we are commanded to watch out for one another. (“watch out” is the Greek word katanoōmen) 2. Connection in community provides Accountability. - we are to push one another to love and good works. 3. Connection in community provides Encouragement. - we are given a negative command to not neglect gathering or meeting. - we are given a positive command to encourage each other as the time of Jesus’ return is approaching. - we must be willing to walk with and invest in others to truly encourage them.
