HE’S OUR PEACE IN TIMES OF CHAOS Isaiah 9:6 Prince of Peace (sar shalom) sar — ruler, chieftain, commander, ruler of rulers shalom — completeness, soundness, welfare, tranquility, contentment Sar Shalom The Invincible One who destroys all enemies. We all long for a supernatural peace that only comes from God. - The “PEACE OF GOD” that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:6-7) - It is the supernatural peace of God that guards our hearts and minds. The “Peace of God” cannot be given without first making “Peace with God”. - Jesus gives us the gift of peace when we receive the gift of salvation. (Romans 5:1) - We are to not let our heart be troubled or fearful. - We become troubled and fearful when we forget who He really is. (John 14:27) Jesus desires to give us peace always. Jesus desires to give us peace in every way. (2 Thessalonians 3:16) In Jesus we can have a peace that is greater than any trouble we may face in this world. - Be of good cheer/courageous/encouraged because Jesus has overcome the world. (John 16:33) Jesus is the Sar Shalom — The Invincible One who destroys all enemies. (Isaiah 43:1-3) Next Steps: - Do you have “Peace WITH God”? - Have you let your heart become troubled and fearful? - Remember who He really is.
