HE’S OUR EVERLASTING FATHER Isaiah 9:6 Eternal / Everlasting Father (avi ad) - Father of perpetuity - Father until avi ad - the one who produces all things - the one who directs all things Colossians 1:15-20 Jesus, our avi ad, (Colossians 1:16) has created all things. - Everything was created by him. - Everything was created for him. Jesus, our avi ad, (Colossians 1:17) is directing all things. - Everything is being held together by him. How do we know that Jesus will be there for us? Jesus promised 3 things that are delivered through our avi ad: 1. We have confidence through his provision. (Matthew 6:25-33) - If God provides for his creation, we have confidence he will provide for his children. 2. We have confidence through his presence. (John 14:18-21) - I am in my Father - You are in me - I am in you 3. We have confidence through his permanence.
