Serve

 â€¢ Series: Thankful and Grateful

Serve Mark 10:35-45 Generosity is the key to living the abundant life. Source (God is our Source) Supply (God is our Supply) Share (we are encouraged to Share) Serve Heart of a Servant vs. Heart of a Self-Servant - Jesus teaches Upside-Down Kingdom. (If you want to become great, you have to become lesser.) - Ultimately, the wrestle between being a servant vs. being a self-servant is your focus. - Self-Absorption is one of the greatest killers of servanthood in the church. - If Jesus is truly God, and He was the greatest servant of all, then we as Christians (little Christs) should be servants as well. THE WAY TO BECOME GREAT IS TO SERVE - Similar to last week with we don't give to get, we don't serve to become great. - Generosity is not just focused on giving your money towards a cause, but also about giving yourself to a cause. (1 Peter 4:10) Talents - Time - Talents - Out of the overflow of thankfulness and gratefulness, ..service comes. Vs. - Out of the overflow of thanklessness andapathy, ..self-absorption comes. The Danger of Not Serving - When we are serving, we are faithfully stewarding our time and talents to God. - When we are not serving, we are not faithfully stewarding our time and talents to God. - Mentality switches from what can I offer the church, to what can the church offer me.
