Mission Sunday Matthew 28:18-20 · It starts with prayer · 3 Circles · Sharing Your Story Jesus was given all authority in Heaven and on Earth – and He was talking to His disciples The Great Commission was important for many reasons… - Jesus was communicating the heart of God. 2 Peter 3:9b – “not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance” 1 Timothy 2:4 – God “wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” - Jesus wants this to be the desire of our hearts. - Jesus wanted His disciples to MAKE disciples. We can ALL become more like Jesus… o Doing what Jesus DOES o Doing what Jesus SAYS o Being more like HIM everyday Turn Conversations into Jesus Conversations! Live your life each day based on the life of Jesus o Remember His promise at the end of the Great Commission… o He will be with us always to the end of the age. o He provides the power, the strength and the boldness to GO.
