When we live for our King we obey His Word. Judges 19 - v. 1-3 - We obey God’s Word on family and marriage. - v. 22-30 - We obey God’s Word on sexuality and sanctity of life. When we live for our King we walk in truth and forgiveness. Judges 20 - v. 1-7 - We are to speak truth one to another. - v. 8-11 - We are to extend the forgiveness we have received to others. When we live for our King we acknowledge our sin and repent. Judges 21 - v. 1-3 - We confess our sin and do not blame God. - v. 8-12 - We seek God’s way to redeem our sinful actions. (War was not God’s way of providing) - v. 16-24 - Kidnap and rape was not God’s way of providing. Judges 21:25 Next Steps: Internal application: Look at our own life: - Are we living for our King Jesus? - Are there areas of compromise in my life? External application: - Do I care that there are people around me who haven’t experienced the love and forgiveness of our King? - Will I go and tell others about my King?
