THE FAMILY’S STRENGTH IN UNITY Ephesians 5:15-17 At FiveStone we desire to make disciples who CONNECT with God and others, GROW to be more like Jesus, and GO in service locally and globally. All of this is built on five foundational stones: Engaging People Experiencing Worship Embracing God’s Word Empowering Purpose Enriching the Family: make life-long followers of Jesus by uniting the influence of the church and home To enrich our family we must be wise and be careful how we live because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-17 We see the fracture and failure of the family in our world. To enrich the family we must understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:17 The strength of family comes from unity in Jesus. Ephesians 5:21 The husband and wife relationship is strengthened when it is unified in Jesus. (v. 22-33) The child and parent relationship is strengthened when it is unified in Jesus. (ch. 6:1-3) The discipleship of children is strengthened when it is unified in Jesus. (ch. 6:4) Next Steps: How strong is your family? Is each person submitting themselves to one another in the fear of the Lord? Are you uniting the influence of the church and home?
