(v. 2) (Pharisees and Scribes - experts in the law) Luke 5:31-32 Luke 7:47 How the Parables are Being Explained (v. 3-10) Jesus tells the reason to follow Father’s heart: Luke 19:10 2 Peter 3:9 Jesus tells the result of following Father’s heart: - Joining our heart with Father’s heart results in rejoicing. - For so many there seems to be very little to rejoice over. - We have lost sight of the mission that joins us to God’s heart. - Seeking and saving the lost is the meeting of Heaven and Earth. It is the answer to Jesus’ model prayer: "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” When the lost are found there is: - joy on earth - joy in Heaven Next Step: - Make this single sentence prayer your daily focus: .. Father, give me your heart for the lost and may Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.
