Answer: Praise & Worship Question #2: If God is for us, who can be against us? - Satan (1 Peter 5:8) - The World (Isaiah 5:20-23) - Our own flesh (Romans 7:19) God's Answer: No one (v.32) .. He has all the knowledge (Omniscient) .. He has all the power (Omnipotent) .. He has all authority (Sovereign) Remember, He uses all that for our good: - His Son, His Spirit, His Word, His Strength, His Care, His Riches. (We are children of the King! - We are heirs of Almighty God!) Question #3: Who accuses us or condemns us? - Satan (Revelation 12:10) The World Accuses: .. Judgmental .. Hypocritical .. Prideful & Arrogant (John 14:6) We Accuse & Condemn Ourselves .. Guilt .. Shame (Isaiah 50:7) God’s Answer: Jesus (v.33-34) 1. Jesus died. 2. Jesus rose from the dead. 3. Jesus sits at the right hand of Father interceding on our behalf. - The Courtroom Question #4: Who can separate us? - Trials of this world. - Persecution from this world. - Not having the comforts of this world. - Are we going to give up on God? Answer: No! We are more than conquerors! (v. 37-39) - How do we live as conquerors? (Philippians 4:13) - I am persuaded (A past action that has ongoing impact) .. Paul was persuaded and now stands firm in the security of God’s love. .. Does Paul leave open the possibility that something might be able to separate us from God? NO SEPARATION Next Steps: 1. Renew your confidence in the knowledge, power, and sovereignty of God. 2. Ask yourself what needs conquering in your life. 3. Ask God to help you be even more conquering in your life.
