The Spirit in Me Empowers Me to Think Differently(v.5-9) - What we have our minds SET ON will determine our MIND-SET! - What happens when we live according to the flesh: v. 6 - We live a life of death. v. 7 - We are hostile toward God. .. We are not submitted to God. .. We are not able to be submitted to God. .. We cannot please God. Galatians 5:19-21 v. 9 - We do not belong to Christ. The Spirit in Me Empowers Me to Act Differently (v.10-11) - What happens when we live according to the Spirit: v. 6 - We are given life and peace. v. 10- The righteousness of Christ is alive in us. Galatians 2:19b-20 Galatians 5:22-23 v. 11 - We are guaranteed to be raised from the dead! Next Steps: Living fearlessly, because of the Spirit in me, means I am thinking differently. - Is my mind SET on something that is causing me to have the wrong MIND-SET? - I can change my thoughts. .. Stay in Scripture Living fearlessly, because of the Spirit in me, means I am acting differently. - Am I empowered with LIFE and PEACE? - Is the Fruit of the Spirit being demonstrated on a consistent basis in my everyday life? - Be intentional about: .. showing love in radical ways, even to those who are hardest to love. .. exuding joy at all times! (Rejoice in the Lord!) .. displaying peace in a hostile world. .. practicing patience when times are tension-filled. .. blessing with kindness when unkindness is given to you. .. letting your goodness shine when it is least deserved. .. practicing faithfulness, even when it’s only seen by God. .. pouring out gentleness on those who are broken and hurting. .. living in self-control in an out-of-control world.
