“Brokenness” Isaiah 6:4-6 Brokenness leads to blessing! 1. We must be broken over our sin! Sin: saying, doing, and thinking anything in which God says don’t. * Sin infects you. * Sin Kills you. - Romans 6:23; James 1:13-18 * Sin separates you from God. * Sin keeps you from fulfilling God’s purpose for your life. * Jesus wants to empty you of sin, so He can fill you with something better! 2. We must be broken and burdened for others! * Jesus wept for and over people! * We need a burden for people like we do for other countries! - “57 million teenagers in America don’t have a relationship with Jesus” -North American Mission Board. - “ An estimated 20 million people in Texas don’t have a relationship with Jesus.” -Southern Baptists of Texas. * Compartmentalism is the enemy of sharing the Gospel. 3. Jesus is the solution for sin and apathy! * Confession brings cleansing and freedom! * Sharing the Gospel is a result of being free from sin. * What needs to die inside of you so Jesus can resurrect something new?
